Elle Fanning has always been pretty savvy about how to use fashion, not just in relation to her own looks but also in response to the kinds of things she’s promoting. So it’s Disney Princess mode for the romance or fantasy films, retro haute couture goddess for the Paris shows and Euro film festivals, and for the New York Film Festival premiere of Sentimental Value, she went classic, dark and businesslike:
That’s about as no-nonsense as a film festival look gets and this is a lady who doesn’t mind a considerable amount of nonsense in her style. It’s smart and it’s on-point. Because it’s The Row, it’s also likely to come off very fine and of high quality in person, but it doesn’t exactly take the most interesting picture. Still, she looks good.
