Director Kristen Stewart joined her stars Imogen Poots and Thora Birch on the red carpet at the AFI Fest premiere of The Chronology of Water. The looks for the occasion were…

… a little drab and goofy.
Imogen Poots

This look is the best of the lot. It’s simple, but it has a glam factor to it and that ombre effect is well done. The shoes are kind of a dull after thought (metallic pumps would have bumped this up considerably) and it seems like she needs at least one statement piece of jewelry.

We suppose sporting lace leggings is a somewhat elegant solution to wearing an unlined lace dress. It’s better than looking at a pair of panties, we’ll grant you, but in the end, you’re just adding more lace to an outfit that has too much lace already. Overall, it’s certainly not the worst lace look we’ve seen recently. It’s not even the worst one we’ve seen today. It just doesn’t feel like it represents her style, however.
Thora Birch

What an unflattering collection of bad ideas. There’s just nothing good about this. She seems to be realizing it.
ABOUT THE MOVIE:
Brought up in an environment torn apart by violence and alcohol, Lidia Yuknavitch seemed destined for self-destruction and failure — until words offered her unexpected freedom in the form of literature. Adapted from Yuknavitch’s autobiographical bestseller, The Chronology of Water follows Lidia’s journey to find her own voice, exploring how trauma can be transformed into art by repossessing our own bloody histories, particularly those uniquely experienced by the bodies of women and girls.
