Teyana Taylor came to the One Battle After Another screening in New York sporting the kind of demure, drama-free fashion we’ve come to expect from her.

PSYCH. We don’t think we’ve ever seen her sport a look that wasn’t on the highest difficulty setting for fashion; in this case, managing to keep all her bits covered. As much as we want to shout out huzzahs at every one of her style efforts, just for being so bold and unusual (not to mention hard to wear), we’re afraid this look was already trying to do too much when it walked a runway, but when she adds boobage and green boots to the ensemble, the eye really doesn’t know where to go. Besides, the paillettes look dumb and the skirt is way too stiff and long. It’s dramatic as hell, like all of her ensemble choices, but it comes off unworkable, which is not something we can say about the majority of her efforts. We’re afraid this one got the better of you, Teyana. Fantastic accessorizing, though.
