It’s been a minute since we’ve featured Kristen Stewart doing her best to make Chanel look awful, so let’s check in on the inexplicable brand ambassador as she poses for a photo call at the Deauville American Film Festival, shall we?

We’re really starting to think she’s taken on some sort of secret mission to take down the house of Chanel by cashing their endorsement checks while ensuring that thousands of people come away thinking that the Chanel aesthetic looks like shit. To be fair, there was a time when she was infusing the Chanel aesthetic with a queer punk vibe that was fun and kind of exciting. But the returns have been diminishing on that front for a long time and she seems less and less interested in using fashion to make statements or to promote herself, so the results have increasingly wound up looking half-assed. In this case, she isn’t doing anything to the Chanel pieces to make them more interesting. She’s just wearing an outfit with shitty hair. We reserve the right to gush over the next attempt if it’s a good one, but we haven’t seen a really good Chanel turn from K Stew in a long time. The jacket’s kind of cute.
