The early trickle of stars disembarking at the Venice Film Festival has turned into a steady stream, to our delight. We suddenly have to pee, but before we do that, let’s judge how the arrivistes are doing, shall we?

This is very dressed up for him. This is like the most effort he’s put into an outfit in twenty years. It doesn’t look great, but at least he tried.

Love the outfit, especially the jacket. The boots don’t have a thing to do with the rest of it and look pretty goofy.

It’s giving “off-duty priest.”
George Clooney
He is so happy not to be dyeing his hair anymore. The suit’s meh, but the shades are gorgeous.
Laura Dern in Emilia Wickstead
It’s giving “your favorite art teacher.” The skirt is gorgeous. The belt is cute, but it doesn’t coordinate all that well with it. A plain black one would have been less distracting.
