SEXY SENIORS IN YOUR AREA! That line is going to totally screw up our SEO, but we couldn’t help making the joke once we saw The Thursday Murder Club stars Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan and Ben Kingsley looking so fine at the New York screening.
Either Ben was all “Why didn’t you assholes tell me you were wearing white?” or he was all “Hell no I’m not wearing white.” Either way, we salute and appreciate his individuality, because if he’d worn a white jacket, they’d have looked like a nightclub act.
Pierce Brosnan
To be fair, this is way off from white and only a few shades away from being a pale yellow. It looks great on him, but the jacket is just a weensy bit snug. Love the tie and pocket square, which work nicely to counter what could have been too much off-white. The reason we always argue for contrast in men’s suiting is because it always looks better in pictures.
Ben Kingsley
It’s a fine suit, but dark blue suits will always look too corporate to us on red carpets.
Helen Mirren
This is fun and it took us a while to realize she was wearing pants. Usually the “pants masquerading as a skirt” thing comes off too precious to us, but our only objection here is with the length. She needs at least an inch taken off the hem, but it should probably be more because whatever clodhoppers she’s wearing are getting caught up. Still, the overall effect is great. Love the necklace, although we’re not sure it works with a sweater.
