We were a little disappointed last month when Bad Bunny was out promoting Happy Gilmore 2 while dressed in an apparent homage to its star Adam Sandler. We are happy to report that he’s back to his risk-taking stylish ways for the premiere of Caught Stealing, although we think the look might be a little challenging, which is why we’re giving it the spotlight treatment.

Which is probably a little mean of us because we simply can’t imagine that a majority of you are going to sign off on a ribbed tank top worn over a dress shirt. Typically, those things go under the shirt for a reason, which is that it looks pretty dumb worn the other way. We don’t want to be too rigid or dogmatic about this, but generally speaking, classic menswear doesn’t take well to attempts to deconstruct it or put a spin on it because most designers simply aren’t imaginative enough to do anything more than “Let’s put the underwear on the outside this time.” To be fair, this is also why red carpet dresses are mostly see-through these days. No one wants to fuck around too much with the form or the shapes because the modern consumer just isn’t likely to go for impracticality, so any attempts to be fresh wind up just exposing someone’s underwear. Anyway, this is a semi-interesting attempt to do something different, but the results are awkward and goofy-looking to us.
