Lindsay Lohan, Manny Jacinto, Jamie Lee Curtis and Chad Michael Murray have been tearing it up on the promotional duties for Freakier Friday this week and we thank them all for providing us with so much late-July content. Your service is appreciated. We will now be bitchy about your outfits. The quartet came out in fairly coordinated looks once again for the New York screening.
Lindsay Lohan in Jacquemus
You had us until we got to the ruffle. We don’t think pale colors are the best choice for her, but if you took away that awful potscrubber, the entire look would be greatly improved. We haven’t touched on this much in our recent posts about her, but she always seems to pick a shoe that doesn’t coordinate all that well with the rest of the look.
Manny Jacinto
There’s nothing new about anything he’s doing here, but it all works perfectly for him. It’s total Boyfriend Material style.
Jamie Lee Curtis in Cinq à Sept
We’re not sure why it was decided that the cast should work a pink/pastel theme throughout this promo tour. Sure, it was obviously devised to coordinate with the film’s branding materials, but we would have thought pink-themed publicity tours were out of the question in a post-Barbie world. It’s a cute suit, although we’d have liked a little bit of a lighter hand on the embellishments. With colors that saturated, you don’t need to go overboard.
Chad Michael Murray
Look, if you’re a straight Millennial lady, we won’t hold it against you if you find all of this swoon-worthy, but we think he looks borderline ridiculous here. He’s dressed like the teen lead of a circa 2003 Disney Channel kid sitcom. It almost feels like he’s taking a page from his co-star’s style book and dressing in these deliberate throwback styles. The outfit isn’t horrible, but combined with the silver-tipped shitkickers, the stacked bracelets, the blowout and the fake tan, it’s all way too much. To quote Carrie Bradshaw, “Stop this! You’re middle-aged!”
