Oh Hi! star Molly Gordon stopped by Stephen Colbert’s show to talk about the film and work the hottest unexpected trend of the summer.

It’s officially a trend because this marks the third time in a week we’ve seen a peplum top over a pair of pedal pushers. Emily Ratajkowski worked the look last week, Julia Butters wore a version at the Freakier Friday premiere, and now here’s Molly. We didn’t really see this trend coming, but we’re not opposed to it. In retrospect, we probably should’ve figured it was coming back when everyone started wearing black pumps again, because they tend to be the best choice for this style. It’s been a while since pedal pushers and Capri pants were considered trendy and they make a nice change of pace after years of lady stars dragging their too-long pants hems all over the place. We kinda hate the top, though. It looks incredibly uncomfortable to sit in.
