We admit that we burst out laughing when we saw what Freakier Friday star Chad Michael Murray wore to the New York screening because it was so teen idol-coded that it came off like a poor attempt to capture his own past. And look, we figure it’s got to be hard for former boy pinups to manage their image past forty without people constantly pointing out that you aged or giggling like judgmental bitches over your attempts to stay youthful. It’s definitely got a youthful vibe to it, but more importantly, it has a modern one, which means he looks like a guy surfing a trend instead of a guy trying to hold onto the past.
