The cast of Abbott Elementary came to Comic-Con to pose in cute outfits (among other things) at a fan event that included “authentic Philly water ice” (we’ll be the judges of that), “exclusive premiums from the school’s Lost and Found and waterfront views from a sky-high Ferris wheel,” which all sounds like a pretty fun time. There’s just one problem. The cast made a fatal mistake. You won’t find this rule written down anywhere or articulated all that much, but it’s just good common sense that if you want to pose for pictures looking cute, you probably shouldn’t do it in front of a huge, highly encutened version of you:
Actually, nevermind. That’s pretty damn adorable.
They really do all look very cute, but most of the outfits don’t require a lot of assessing or analyzing, but from the left: Sheryl Lee Ralph looks spectacular and we love how great the jeans fit her and how well that red suits her. Lisa Ann Walter’s ensemble is very pretty, cool, and comes off effortless. She should play in this mode more often. Love Tyler James Williams’ shirt, but we don’t love the pants as much. Quinta Brunson is always cute, and we like the top and the skirt, but we don’t think they go together. Janelle James is the only here wearing a look we don’t love, but if she switched out that top for something that matched the pants a little better, we’d be okay with it. William Stanford Davis and Chris Perfetti are perfectly on point for the setting. Chris is another one who sometimes gets a little overwrought in his style choices, but this sort of clean, classic guy look suits him really well. We could have done without the shoelace bows on his sleeves.
