Red Carpet Rundown: The 2025 Newport Beach TV Fest

All your favorite TV stars came to the Newport Beach TV Festival to serve up summertime cool style. Let’s assess.

Either he’s cosplaying as a depressed person or he is one. Either way, his red carpet efforts are awful. If you’re going to go to the trouble of putting on a suit and dress shoes, why would you whiff it so much on the grooming and simple details like a shirt that actually looks good on you?

Christina Ricci, Melanie Lynskey and Samantha Hanratty

They look really cute together. Christina doesn’t always go so twee and Melanie rarely goes the sexy route, which is why both looks are such pleasant surprises. Samantha’s wearing a classic cool girl getup, but we’d have liked a hem job on those pants.

Neither one of them put in more effort than the other, but by not defaulting to the same colors and casual footwear (GOD, we hate that style of white-soled slip-on; it’s so needlessly geriatric on anyone under 80) that a million other guys would pick, Michael automatically looks better and more photogenic.

Julianne Nicholson

That’s a terribly unphotogenic print and we don’t understand that white strip at all.

Chris Perfetti, Sheryl Lee Ralph, William Stanford Davis, Quinta Brunson, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, and Scott Mantz

From the left: cute, but the t-shirt’s a little too casual, a spectacular print, a really well put-together summertime casual outfit that suits him perfectly, a cute dress with a really weird neckline, a chic set of loungewear, a surprisingly cute dress, and a TV critic.

Gotta give him credit, he’s been hitting every event he can, getting his face out there. Unfortunately, this look is boring as hell.

We just want to tell this dress to calm the hell down.
