Emma Stone came to the Cannes Film Festival with two things: her sassy little pixie cut and her goofy fashion sense. Both were on display as she attended the photo call and premiere of her film Eddington.
IN LOUIS VUITTON AT THE PHOTO CALL
Our first impulse is to call it a fancy nightgown but who the hell would try to sleep in this mess? It’s pretty much irredeemable as a design, but if it didn’t have those awful cutouts and vertical lace panels, it would be significantly more palatable.
IN LOUIS VUITTON AT THE PREMIERE
It’s very Star Wars-coded, which feels kind of right for Cannes, somehow. We actually really like the collar from the back, but the front view is pretty damn awkward. If a strong gust of wind comes along, she may become the first woman in history to be slapped by her dress. We don’t love this, but it’s just goofy enough to have a certain appeal to it. The center part isn’t working.
