Europe’s wackiest Queen stepped out in another of her trademark looks, setting off another scrolldown surprise and causing us once again to do sharp intakes of breath at one detail while making “oooh” faces. As in, “Oooh, that’s not working out for you, Maxine.”

So, first: The scrolldown surprise. It’s a chic, albeit extremely, overly matchy look that has a certain regal air to it, set off by another of her signature big ol’ hats. We can’t say we love that style of coat, but it’s definitely queen-appropriate. We’re actually a little impressed by how well the reds match. The feather trim is tacky as hell and not at all to our liking, but it did elicit a reaction of pleasant surprise when we saw it. It’s just so her. Then…

Yeah no, girl. It was cute at the hem, but it looks very dumb at the shoulders and neckline. It’s giving fungus. Love the earrings.
