Paul Mescal and Emma Corrin each opted to just throw on their outfits two minutes before heading out the door to go celebrate some diamonds. The two stars came to the Victoria & Albert Museum in London ostensibly to promote the Cartier exhibit and to score some free food.
We are not detecting exhaustive preparations. And that’s fine. This is a “show up and get your picture taken” thing and we wouldn’t expect any star to necessarily put the time and effort in as if they were attending the Oscars or their own premiere.
DIY makeup and hair, with a borrowed frock and diamonds. Done and done. Why complicate matters? The dress is actually pretty great – like a puff of smoke rendered in fabric. We can see how it would appeal to them. It’s the kind of dress that doesn’t need a lot of aggressive styling choices, although we’d love to see someone do a whole goth take on it.
Off-white dress shirts with tuxes are always going to look a little dingy to us.
