Once again, Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa is serving up some frilly queer fashion and a scrolldown surprise, but this time, it’s not because he chose not to wear pants.
It’s because he wore very gay pants. And shoes, for that matter. Personally, we always felt that piecrust collars should stay in Princess Diana’s circa 1985 wardrobe and not ever be revived, but he’s making us a believer. Everything from the waist up could come off a little bit “Nana’s fancy outfit,” but he’s lending it a sense of youth and queerness through sheer force of personality. We don’t think the pants and shoes go well together and we find ourselves wishing he’d indulged his love of going pantsless just this one time. It’s an interesting design, but we hate that color and the trim just looks a little too craftsy to us.
