We don’t know if it was due to the high number of events happening at the same time or if some of these folks are thinking they’re too good for the red carpet, but the AFI Awards was loaded with high-profile attendees who only posed for pictures inside, which sucks for us. But we won’t let poor angles and low lighting stop our opinionating, darlings. Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande were joined at the hip, but we can still assess their looks.
So what we’re getting here is that Ariana has moved on from auditioning for the Audrey biopic and Cynthia has started auditioning for another Cruella de Vil movie. Bitchiness aside, we like Cynthia’s look. The coat is probably a bit much and the bag doesn’t really go, but maximalism is her whole deal. Ariana’s look is just sad. It’s like once she ditched the Glinda frocks, she didn’t know what to wear.
