She’s been on a mission to ditch the witch ever since she secured her Oscar nomination, but even with all of the non-Elphaba-flavored frocks and ensembles she’s sported in the last few weeks, this comes as a big surprise. We don’t think we ever would have predicted that white lace was going to make an appearance between now and Oscar night. It looks stunning on her, not least because of the dramatic architectural quality and those insane shoes. It’s just a perfect Erivo look.

What we’ve loved about her latter styles is that she manages to avoid witchiness even when she’s dressed all in black. This has an incredibly sassy shape to it, which suits her perfectly. The styling is perfection; low-key, in order to let that shape shine but with just enough sparkle and glam to keep it red carpet-perfect.
