If you want someone to serve up Haute Goth Chic at the Grammys, Lady Gaga may not be your first choice, but you’d be foolish not to place her high on the list. We joked in our Cosmo writeup that she stole one of Elphaba’s dresses, but that does the design something of a disservice, we think.
While the shape of the jacket evoked Victorian style, the detailing is pure rock and roll and that exuberant skirt elevates it to high fashion. That spectacular Tiffany pendant probably isn’t the correct choice for the neckline, but it’s so over-the-top (in a good way) that we can’t get fussed over it. We can, however, get a little bit fussed over the wig. It’s just not working for us, Steffi.
