No lie, we were going to psych you out with the “IN or OUT” part in the title because if there’s one thing we know for sure after nearly 19 years of red carpet blogging, it’s that the Bitter Kittens will always wax rhapsodic over anything Fan Bingbing decides to wear. But for real: there’s an odd element at play here and we’re curious to see whether her innate fabulosity is managing to sell it to you.

As always, she looks regal and elegant in another Christopher Bu creation. The embroidery is beautiful, although we can’t help noting that the white and silver color story washes her out and doesn’t take the best picture. She does so well with incredibly vivid colors, so this feels like a bit of a letdown. But of course, the big story here is the sleeve/glove situation. Like all of the best “IN or OUT” entries, it’s an element that you either loved or hated at first glance. We’re gonna be honest: we hate it. Having one long sleeve is fine. Ending it in a glove and then plopping a Mickey Mouse glove on the other hand just looks goofy and unbalanced to us. While we’re at it, we’re not in love with that half-collar either. There’s a lot about this that we dislike, but there’s no denying that she still looks great in it. Great enough to overcome our quibbles? Answering that question is where you come in.
