Because Hollywood will never miss an opportunity for backpatting itself, the nominees for the 97th Academy Awards came together ahead of the ceremony to pose for the 2025 class picture:

It’s fine; low-key. Kinda like the dots on the jacket.
Ariana Grande in Vintage Yves Saint Laurent
Of course she was going to wear something pink. This one feels like she’s running out of style options.
Colman Domingo
Perfectly fine – in every sense of the word.
Cynthia Erivo in Vintage Givenchy
And of course she was going to wear some variation on green. The coat is gorgeous; the shoes and bag are too much with it. We’d have liked a contrasting color underneath.
Demi Moore in Nina Ricci
Chic, confident and professional.
Fernanda Torres in The Row
Credit where it’s due: she hasn’t been wearing the most exciting fashion during her campaign, but she sure has snagged a lot of high-end labels along the way. This is chic.
Guy Pearce
Looks great; love the grooming.
Isabella Rossellini in Dolce & Gabbana
LUV HUH.
Jeremy Strong
It’s interesting to us how he seems to restrict himself almost entirely to wearing brown and green on the red carpet; typically two of the most difficult colors to work for pictures.
Mikey Madison in Vintage Bill Blass
It’s refreshing to see her in blue, but strapless was probably a bit grandiose for the setting.
Monica Barbaro in Victoria Beckham
Chic and unexpected. The color is eye-catching, but the white shoes are distracting.
Ralph Fiennes
Surprisingly, one of his more stylish looks during awards season.
Sebastian Stan
Love the color combination.
Timothée Chalamet in GapStudio
This looks pretty great, but the dressy boots look weird with it.
Zoe Saldaña in Saint Laurent
Beautiful color; elegant style. She looks great.
