That is a gorgeous coat and if Thom Browne wanted to send a couple our way, we’d be ever so grateful. There’s certainly no crime in wearing a fine black coat for a photo call. And you could argue that he’s being thematically appropriate to the film’s mid-Century aesthetic if not outright engaging in character cosplay (not that we’d support the latter). He looks fine and this is very much his own style preferences at play. We probably wouldn’t normally feature a look this generic, but as we said, it’s a very fine coat and he’s on the Oscar track so it’s worth checking in on his choices. We’d love to see him loosen up a little more.
