Nosferatu star Lily Rose-Depp has discovered a new thing for us to rail against and for that, we’re almost grateful. In all our years of opinionating about the worst items or elements to wear for a talk show appearance (crop tops, sheer shirts, tiny skirts, trains, flip flops), we don’t think it ever occurred to us to warn anyone away from wearing a cape to The Tonight Show.
We realize that the top and skirt probably don’t provide enough interest on their own, but the Supergirl cape just looks dumb as hell. We might have been a little more accepting of it if it were integrated or attached to the rest of the look, but that dumb sash bow around her neck makes her look like a kid playing dressup with some old curtains. The rest of it is okay, although we’ll never love car wash skirts or T-straps. The barrette is pretty cute, but this doesn’t strike us as a barrette kind of outfit.
