Come on, fancy people! All the glittering types came out for the annual New York City Ballet Fashion Gala and it’s our job to tell them all exactly how they screwed up their look for the night. It’s also your job for the next two minutes, so put your judgin’ pants on and let’s get mean.
Amy Sedaris
One just about anyone else, we’d dismiss this as a tragic smock, but the style actually suits her. We just hate that white hem.
Bridget Everett
This is very fancy for her (even though this is literally the only kind of dress she ever wears) and the bag is kind of hilarious.
Brooke Shields
We’re not completely in love with it, but we feel like her style has taken a slightly more interesting turn of late. We dig the pseudo-medieval vibe, but the non-color does little for her and those First Lady sleeves help no one.
Dianna Agron
We’re tired of corset bodices and never liked spaghetti straps, so the combo here is giving us eye-twitches. But the color is nice and the embellishments are eye-catching. The gloves don’t work with such a flimsy bodice.
Jaimie Alexander
Standard glam. Can’t be mad at it.
Justin Theroux
The Reverend Theroux needs a style shakeup, desperately.
Laverne Cox
This sort of grande dame turn is fun and unexpected coming from her. Kinda love that print, even if it isn’t entirely red carpet-friendly.
Nicky Hilton
It’s nearly impossible to get this dress wrong somehow.
Sarah Jessica Parker
This is fun and has a sort of fantasy flair to it, but it would be infinitely better if the hem went to the floor.
Tiffany Haddish
It’s a simple design that’s about as classic as classic gets (i.e., Bronze Age), but it looks great on her. A slim metal belt would’ve been our recommendation.
