Why Mr. Murphy. We almost didn’t recognize you. The newly christened silver fox brought his cheekbones to the London premiere of Small Things Like These and also unveiled a new “I’m done with Oscar campaigning (for now)” style.

Last year, while successfully campaigning for his Oppenheimer Oscar, we noted that his style was rigid and that he seemed to have a dislike of colors or surprises. And yet here he is, surprising us with his colors. It’s a great semi-dressy fall look in a lot of ways. We love the jacket. The color of the shirt works well with it, but we’d have liked a button-down or dress shirt. We’d also have liked a brown pair of pants and shoes, but we suppose he breaks out in hives if at least half of his look isn’t black. It’s nice to see a pair of men’s dress shoes with a hefty silhouette. Too many instances of doll feet lately.
