As promotional activities go, this one makes a nice change of pace from the usual corporate-backed photocall or red carpet. Harold and the Purple Crayon stars Zachary Levi and Zooey Deschanel attended a Library of Congress “clips and conversation” event in Washington, DC. If nothing else, the background ensured that the shots would look good, although we’re not sure how many movie tickets an event like this one is expected to sell. But whatever! Fashion!
She’s doing her usual twee bit and staying on theme (dressed in purple). Can’t say we’re loving the bows. The tights and ballet flats are her thing, but they tend to make every dress she wears look a little less fresh. People assume such a critique means we’re suggesting she go bare-legged and wear heels, but there are countless options for coverage and comfort that feels a little fresher than this. He’s still giving off that youth pastor vibe, no matter what he wears.
