Emma Corrin in Nina Ricci at the DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE World Premiere: IN or OUT?

Sorry to beat a horse long expired, but this is exactly the kind of theme-dressing we support. Emma Corrin showed up to the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere NOT dressed in a costume from the film, NOT dressed in something that “calls back” to a costume in the film and NOT dressed in the colors of the logo. But they DID show up looking like a sexy supervillain:

And we simply cannot get mad at that. We still think they’re taking cues from K Stew and that they don’t have to do that, but this is genuinely striking. We don’t love body suits on the red carpet, but we think we probably mind them less than all of the panty-baring sheer dresses of the last decade. The faux fur wrap and the sheer hose lend the design a lot of interest and keep it from looking too much like a dance costume or a bathing suit. Our only real quibble is with the pumps, but at least they’re not totally generic. To our thinking, the styling is what makes this look for them. The hair and makeup are strikingly photogenic. We mostly love this, but we’re gonna put it up to a vote anyway, because it’s a very discussable look. So let’s hear it:
