Jennifer Connelly stopped by the studios of The View to talk about her upcoming film Bad Behavior while working the kind of look that we’re pretty sure only she has the ability to pull off. If someone were to describe an outfit to us as a cross between “schoolgirl” and “headmistress” with a slight fetish undertone, we would immediately pull out our nail files and start sharpening our claws in preparation for the style evisceration to come. And yet? And yet:

Are we nuts or is this kind of great? The weather’s been on the milder side lately, and we wouldn’t ever expect her to show up in some flowy little summer sundress, so we don’t know why we’re surprised by this. It’s the quintessential “Jennifer Connelly in LV look” in a lot of ways, but it manages to avoid a lot of the awkwardness built into the current brand aesthetic, with the exception of the jacket sleeve length, which is terrible. She’s even making a piecrust collar look chic. Witchcraft.
