While half of celebrityhood was off doing Met Gala things, Furiosa star Anya Taylor Joy was bouncing all over the place serving looks. We thank her for her service in providing post-Met Gala content.

That dress is a stunner. Hair and makeup look great, but the shoes are such a letdown. At some point, the big name shoe designers are going to rebel against the ubiquity of these invisible shoes that stylists keep foisting on their clients. Shoes are fun! They punctuate an outfit! They come in every style and color imaginable! Enough with these imaginary shoes.

This looks unbelievably annoying to wear. This kind of tour calls for a hard-edged modernity in the styling, but we just can’t support any outfit with that many straps hanging off it. It’s giving luggage. The jacket’s kind of fun, though.

This, to us, is how you do theme dressing for your movie. She’s not coming out in stuff that could be confused for costumes from the movie, but she’s sticking to leathers and metals to give herself a bit of an edge. She would look weird parading around in diaphanous gowns in front of explosive backdrops but she’s look goofy if she were sporting spikes and moto jackets all the time. These looks thread the needle nicely. The dress is okay, but all of those irregular edges are giving us eye twitches.
