The floral is a lovely scrolldown surprise that basically saves the entire look. It’s a gorgeous linen dress, but we’d have found it too dreary without the print. Since she went matchy with the shoes, we’d have rec’d a colored belt picking up either the red or the green. Still, it’s a pretty perfect day dress for a photo call.

We admit to being a bit surprised that this isn’t an archival piece because it’s giving Michelle Obama circa 2009. It looks great on her. The print and colors really pop, proving once again that all a Fanning needs in this world is a little contrast to look good. Our only quibble is with the excessive pleating, which gets a bit heavy.
