If we’re working through the weekend, then we’re gonna make y’all shoulder some of the burden for us. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga star Anya Taylor Joy wore another highly discussable thing and we charge you with the task of discussing it. Also, you have to come to final judgment. Sorry, we don’t make the rules. Oh, wait. Yes we do. Anyway, your girl wore this to the Cannes premiere after-party:
Here’s what: Sometimes it feels like she picks an outrageous piece, pulls her hair back, slaps on some lip color, snags some diamonds and calls it a day. Say what you will about Zendaya and Law Roach, but they fully conceptualize their looks, from hair to pedicure. There are all kinds of approaches to good style, but for red carpet work, it’s always better to have a plan rather than just having a dress. Our point is this: we’re not a hundred percent in love with the dress and we pretty much hate fringed gloves, but our issue here is more with how haphazard this feels. The necklace doesn’t go and the sandals do nothing to complete the look. The hair is an afterthought. We don’t hate the look, but we do think her ambition to become the next red carpet queen is going to keep hitting snags if she doesn’t do more to pull her ensembles together. Anyway, that’s us giving you talking points, but the final call is up to y’all.
