We were glad to see The Color Purple star Danielle Brooks get a big, splashy New York Times profile yesterday, but we’re a little saddened by how little the TCP team has been helping her campaign. Come on, Oprah. Help her out. Anyway, she made the very smart move of showing her support to the Costume Designers Guild and getting her face out in front of cameras by heading the CDGAs.
Simple, chic, profesh, and on brand. Her hair and makeup are gorgeous and they elevate the look considerably. Oprah, send this lady out everywhere this week. Voting’s under way and besides, she deserves the attention.
