The latest People’s Princess continues her rather disappointingly colorless promo tour. The Crown star Elizabeth Debicki stopped by the Today show for a little bit of princess talk.

You know what? The lighting’s terrible here and the angles are unflattering. Let’s skip the assessment and see what the dress looks like on television, which is the entire point of it:

It looks pretty great here. We didn’t love the Mary Janes when we saw them on the street and we don’t love them now (What can we say? We don’t like Mary Janes.), but they look a lot better while she’s sitting down. The herringbone of the tweet pops out more and it just generally looks like a frock with a little more substance and interest to it than we originally thought. Still seems strange to wear hose with a sleeveless top, but it’s not some sort of dealbreaker for us. We do, however, wish she’d do something with her hair. This style and color are not doing anything for her.
