The great thing about Fan Bingbing tearing up the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival – from our perspective, at least – is that you really only need to slap up some pictures of her latest pageantry and shriek “Look at what Fan Bingbing wore, you guys!!!!!”
No one commits like she does. We’re going to blaspheme and admit that we don’t like this design at all. The nude bodice looks awkward in conjunction with the skirt. The headpiece is… well, it just is, isn’t it? Sui generis, as they say (no one says this). We can’t say we love it, but like the rest of the outfit, she’s making it feel like an event. It’s high-impact drag at this level of spotlight grabbing.
