We may still have a ton of awards season red carpetry to judge, but the business of Hollywood never stops and there are always new projects, new red carpets and new dresses to discuss. So before we dive back into our SAG Awards and PGA Awards coverage, here’s Miss Tessa Thompson, looking every inch the movie star at the LA premiere of Creed III.

We have quibbles. You had to know we would. The dress is simple but great and it delivers the kind of glamorous impact she’d be likely to want for a premiere like this one. Her hair and makeup look pretty great, although we think she could’ve worked a stronger lip color here. As you might have guessed by now, it’s that choker and those pumps that make us wrinkle our noses in disapproval. They’re both pretty great accessories, but we’d never have suggested pairing either of them with a gold metallic dress. The choker has more of a pewter finish, which looks a little clashy, and the shoes just look harsh and businesslike.
