David Dawson and Harry Styles hit the red carpet for the LA premiere of My Policeman in looks that seemed almost defiantly NOT Hollywood or SoCal in style.

In our best Chandler Bing voice: Could he possible BE any more British? It’s giving E.M. Forster adaptation, which is, to be fair, pretty on-point for the occasion. The style suits him ridiculously well, but we do tend to think this feels more like a costume than current fashion. Personally, we’d have appreciated a more modern shirt and more interesting tie, but we respect the commitment to a classic style.
Harry Styles in Gucci
This feels like really clear “Prestige Actor” signaling by Harry. He’s still playing around with menswear forms, but all of his popstar exuberance is tamped way down. He looks chic, impeccable, and very much his own self.
