We’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: Jamie Lee Curtis’ promo style exhibits the sort of no-fuss, get-the-job-done professionalism and acute knowledge of what works for her and what doesn’t that only comes with a lifetime of Hollywood exposure. She doesn’t get caught up in the pitfalls and misfires that bedevil so many a star on a red carpet, never tries to chase trends, and won’t wear anything that hasn’t been tried and tested over the course of a four-decade career. She’s the absolute master of “get the job done” red carpet style, which is why we’re a little surprised to see her posing somewhat timidly on her big night.
She seems a little unsure about this gown, but we can’t imagine why. It looks spectacular on her. Hair and makeup are great and the earrings are perfectly chosen. She’s always been very clear about not going to extreme lengths to present herself, which means no botox, no hair dye and no shapewear. We think the gown looks perfectly fine on her without a lot of cinching and lifting going on, but it makes us wonder why she’d choose a gown like this if she didn’t feel comfortable in it. We think she looks great, but we’re turning this one over to y’all in case we’re missing something.
