Claire Foy, Judith Ivey, Michelle McLeod, Sheila McCarthy, Sarah Polley Rooney Mara, Kate Hallett, and Liv McNeil came out for the premiere of Polley’s Women Talking at the New York Film Festival. Mostly low-key looks were served, but a couple of the ladies took the moment to deliver a little drama.
Claire Foy in Valentino
It’s simple, but the color looks great on her. The little side bows look like they would be annoying. We think a more substantial shoe was called for.
Judith Ivey
Serving that Boho Grandma/Museum Docent/New York Theater Maven style, right down to the cameo brooch and reading glasses hanging off the pearls. She’s a real one.
Michelle McLeod
This is super cute and she looks pleased as punch with it. It’s got a tiny bit of a holiday party vibe to it, but the colors keep it from being literal. She looks great. The styling is perfect.
Sheila McCarthy
A stylish take on a classic pantsuit. She looks lovely.
Rooney Mara in Givenchy
We realize the ruffles are the only thing that give this frock any interest, but it comes off a bit like a dancer’s costume.
Kate Hallett
Low-key profesh. We’d have rec’d a pendant and black sandals.
Liv McNeil
Also profesh, but not as low key. We’re not sure that the jewelry coordinates with the suit all that well, but the little pops of sparkle are a good idea.
