We’re extremely divided on this look, to the point that we almost considered putting it up for a vote, even though we tend to save that sort of thing for red carpet appearances. We’re always saying a ladystar should wear whatever makes her feel confident and comfortable for a talk show appearance, but that she should make visual interest a priority. Taken from that perspective, we think The Princess star Joey King kinda nailed it:

It definitely looks better in the Insta shots, which makes us think this is more of a stand-and-pose sort of look — and also that the print and colors go a little harsh under studio lighting. We think that bead top is an interesting piece, but we’re not sure that dress is the best backdrop for it. We also think the shoes are a bit heavy. Having said all that, it’s not a boring look and we can’t say she’s having trouble pulling it off. It just feels like it would be better for a photo call or press day.
