Sure, it’s been a pretty good day for couples on the red carpet and on a normal one, we might be over the moon that we’ve got J Lo and Ben AND Amal and George gracing our front page.  But none of those losers brought a cat with them, did they?

Kidding aside, we’re glad they didn’t put that cat through too much. If they’d tried to hold it for pictures, their very expensive borrowed clothing might have gotten shredded (along with the top few layers of the skin on their arms). And speaking of which, what interesting choices they made! Claire’s wearing the other half of that Celine ensemble Charlize wore a couple weeks back. She got the sweater instead of the leather culottes. Despite the terror that “leather culottes” may strike in our hearts, we have to say, the sweater was the worst of the two garments. We can’t imagine what kind of climate or temperature would be the optimal one for wearing a one-sleeved sweater, but we can’t imagine you’re not either sweating or shivering. It’s just a very silly piece of clothing – which is maybe why Benedict decided to go full “Community Center Art Teacher” for this one. One the one hand, we’re pleasantly surprised to see B Cum going for something this unconventional when he could so easily go the Hiddleston route and just show up in well-fitted suits all the time. On the other hand, the shape and style of this jacket makes it look way too craftsy and casual for any red carpet – even one as laid back as this one seems to be. It just doesn’t photograph all that well.
