We have a lovely and sizable serving of celebrity style leftovers this week; yet another sign that things are returning to whatever passes for normal these days. And honestly? We can’t really claim that any of these qualify as disasters (although a few of them aren’t quite working), which makes us wonder if the coming wave of celebrity style will be better than normal. Either way, we won’t complain so long as the stars are willing to get dressed up for our entertainment.
Chrishell Stause in Mugler
While the whole bustline/sleeve situation looks a little like a window treatment, it’s a pretty cute dress overall and the color is surprisingly great on her.
Gottmik in Moschino
Serving pure FASHION. All red carpets should have at least one drag queen.
Heidi Klum in Aliétte
The Kluminator stays on brand. We’ve gotta say, the boots really do make the look.
John Legend
We’re afraid he’s reached his limit on this one. Not even John Legend can make a red satin suit look good.
Julianna Margulies in Dolce & Gabbana
The suit and shoes are chef’s-kiss perfect, but it seems like the top is a missed opportunity to tie it all together.
Katy Perry in Saint Laurent
It’s … okay? Heidi Klum can put on a pair of thigh-high boots and make it seem like the most natural choice in the world, but this whole look feels a little… we don’t know… forced.
Kelly Clarkson in Costarellos
We like every part of the dress except for the sheer yoke and sleeves.
Mandy Moore in Nanushka
What’s with all these heavy-ass dresses? We can’t think of a worst juxtaposition than a leather frock and a row of cacti. We wouldn’t mind the dress if it weren’t for those sleeves, which feel completely unresolved as a design.
Mindy Kaling in Solace London
Well… maybe just for backyard posing. The dress looks like cotton candy and the bag is too twee for words, but if you’re just posing and playing, we suppose it’s kind of cute.
Paris Hilton in Philipp Plein
The design feels a bit dated – and we swear we’re not saying that because she’s wearing it. The heart buckle is very on brand for her but perhaps a bit much for a red carpet.
Samira Wiley in Christian Siriano
A spectacular suit, we’ve gotta say. She can work a flare.
Tina Fey in Lafayette 148 New York
This is a decidedly less spectacular suit, although we do love the boots.
Wanda Sykes
Fun jacket, but another case of the top not really doing much to pull the look together.
Yvonne Strahovaki in Giorgio Armani
This has been QUITE the week for ladies in suits. We’re not convinced on the design of the jacket, but it’s definitely interesting. LOVE those shoes.
