Kittens, the content gods have bestowed another blessing upon us in these uncertain times. The American Music Awards happened last night and the celebrities came out in force. And while we’ve been very grateful to any celeb willing to serve us the good fashion content at this time, that doesn’t mean your manly hosts have lost all their critical faculties. Brace yourselves. This isn’t a good one.
This is the work of a Project Runway designer who spent the whole episode bragging about how Nina Garcia was going to go crazy over the amazing top they made, only to wake up on day two to realize they forgot to make a bottom. Talk about an afterthought. Granted the flimsy skirt may not have been so egregious if the top hadn’t been so overdesigned. We’re trying to reconcile a cropped top with a plunging neckline AND shoulder pads AND volume. Sorry, Jenny. You’re clearly trying hard to make this work, but it’s a bad design, top to bottom.
The pool hair’s not helping, by the way.
