If there’s one thing we’re sure of (and there isn’t; there’s loads of things), it’s that you don’t ask Miss Tracee to come to the Fashion Awards and then expect her to show up all quiet like. She’s gonna serve you some FASHION. And she’s going to do it in her usual exuberantly happy style.
Miss Tracee likes to play with shape, form and proportion – and girlfriend’s doing it all here. The hair, the oversized neck piece and the pile-of-laundry skirt – it’s a lot. But “a lot” is pretty much her style sweet spot. Since she’s mimicking the runway styling, which is a thing we get all wrinkly-nosed about, we feel secure in suggesting that the neckpiece is the one element that just doesn’t work here. Between the hair and the skirt, she’s got enough to work with – and they both tend to balance each other out a little. The neckpiece is a distraction that doesn’t even look like it belongs with that dress, runway notwithstanding.
