Darlings, the major stars of the film got their spotlight time. Now comes the time when we judge the co-stars and other assorted attendees. Put your judging pants on and line ’em up.
Cobie Smulders in Oscar de la Renta
Considering it’s a white lace gown, we don’t mind the design as much as we probably should. We just wish there was a bit more dress. We think the uneven bustline could work, but not with such a wildly asymmetrical skirt.
Garcelle Beauvais
No, sweetie. Those are about as clowny a pair of clownpants as we’ve ever seen. You are coming impressively close to pulling them off, but we can’t give our support. We will not be discussing the choker.
Malin Åkerman in Simona Corsellini
Honestly kind of low-key cute. She stumbles into Tacky Town more often than not, so we’re a bit pleasantly surprised to see her making a garment like this -which doesn’t normally lend itself to being called chic or high-fashion – work for her.
Marisa Tomei in Valentino
Miss Marissa, you almost had us until we saw that side seam. Once that came into view, we gave ourselves permission to hate the skirt, which we were fighting up to that point. Quite a saga of discovery for us, really.
Samuel L. Jackson
It’s the SLJ uniform. His hat is purple this time. It’s fine.
Storm Reid in Prada
Another low-key cute outfit but we have to admit, the pony tails don’t photograph all that well. We thought they were part of the shirt design at first.
