Is any of this to our tastes? Does it even matter? Darlings, any red carpet with an MTV logo on the backdrop is a red carpet for which our expectations are either lowered or they’re so far outside the box and off the beaten path that we’ll forgive just about anything. Let Lizzo wear her loud tight dress and absolutely ridiculous kicks, we say. Ninety percent of good style is dressing appropriately for the setting and she’s not only doing that, she’s feeling the hell out of it.

Which isn’t to say that we’re designating this “good style” or anything. Let’s not lose our heads here. But it’s fun and she’s loving it.
