Yesterday, we feature Miss Keri wearing a look that surprised us with its traditionally feminine style. This look is why we were surprised by that look:
As we said when she stepped out in a Michelle Obama lewk, we always thought her style had more of a kickass vibe to it than a FLOTUS vibe. In our mind’s eye(s), this is the kind of look we picture when her name comes up; sharp, urban, pants and boots, lots of black. Unforch, this iteration of the style is not exactly presenting a good argument for it. Yes, the boots are kickass, but pale snakeskin boots with an otherwise all-black ensemble automatically renders you visually bottom-heavy. Any outfit – but especially one for a celebrity making a public appearance – should work to draw the eye to your face. It’s why we tend to call out things like side cutouts or too-plunging necklines so often. It’s why roughly 90% of our critiques ding the shoe choice. It doesn’t help that the pants are shaped so oddly or that they don’t really pair well with that top. This sounds like a cliched solution (and it kinda is), but nothing would solve the issues of this look so neatly as just putting on a killer pair of jeans instead.
