It’s Sunday morning, the Oscars are mere hours away, and we’re on our seventeenth pot of coffee, darlings! Slight exaggeration, but still: We’re pumped and ready for some glamour. Miss Gemma is here to provide:

Amazing. We’ve loathed these Miu Miu side cutout dresses all year, the dozen or so times some ladystar tried to make them work. It literally wasn’t until about ten minutes ago – hours after choosing the pictures and immediately following an hour of securing, formatting and uploading the pictures, that we even realized she was wearing The Dress We Hated Most (Frequently) in 2018. Such is the power of The Chan. She can overcome any design flaw, any designer whim of goofiness. Give the girl some sparkle and color and she’ll say “I can work with this,” no matter what shape it’s in.

If we scroll down so her head is out of the monitor frame, we instantly hate the dress. Scroll back up and she’s a head-to-toe vision of loveliness. It really is amazing. And that dress really is ugly.
