Miss Tessa shows up on our front doorstep (metaphorically speaking) like a breath of fresh air in the mid-fall doldrums of celebrity style. Which is a pretty neat trick considering she showed up in some damn near sickly-looking greens.
Shall we? Get to judging, we mean?

LOVE this. It manages the seemingly impossible task of looking light and breezily chic while at the same time looking like the perfect holiday party dress. Those sleeves – and we’re using that term loosely – look awfully fussy and not particularly fun to wear, but she doesn’t seem to mind at all. Which is good, because they make the look. We suspect whether or not a wearer can make this dress work all comes down to whether or not she can deal with those sleeves. Love the up do and the silver shoes. Strangely, that clutch looks kind of awful to us. We’re not big on the idea of shoes and bags needing to match, but silver makes such a great accent. Certainly better than a green that clashes with all the others.
And speaking of green…

Miss Tessa’s clearly feeling it at the moment. Unfortunately, we don’t share whatever love she might have for this dress. It’s pretty awful, frankly. We suppose there’s something to be said for upending the Cinderella fantasy, but dressing up like your evil step-sisters just got through with shredding your party dress is an odd route to take. We love the risk-taking, but this gown is in desperate need of a fairy godmother. Ironically, the shoes are fabulous.
