It’s a BBC photo call. After almost a decade of covering celebrity poledancing, even we don’t know what the expectations are here, but we’re gonna go out on a limb and suggest that they’re about as casual as most TV show photocalls. We’d love to say we’re on board with those pants, but they’re just a little too circus-tent for us. If they had half the volume, we might be convinced, but even then, they’re a bit on the shiny side for our tastes. The top is cute, though.

We will, of course, be primed and ready for the new season when it drops later this month, but we have to admit, the hiatus has been so long and Steven Moffat’s work on the show has been in such steady decline, that we don’t have the highest hopes in the world. We’re sure we’ll be occasionally entertained, but we’d be shocked if Moffat stuck the landing on his exit.
