See? This is what we wanted from you, girl.

The super-tight, body-con stuff she favors just a little too much had the effect of making her look like she was working too hard to give herself as “feminine” a shape as possible. But women come in all shapes (as she would know better than most) and we think all women do better when they celebrate the shape they have instead of going to extreme or style-free lengths to obscure, alter, or cast an illusion over their actual shapes. Dress to maximize your assets and minimize your flaws, absolutely.  But sometimes, a square-shouldered lady, when she’s presented with a beautiful gown that not only shows off those shoulders but barely skims the rest of her body, which she tends to like to show off (i.e., the exact opposite of how Laverne normally dresses) should take a risk and embrace it. The focus here is on her neck, shoulders and breasts. She tends to put the focus on her legs and cinched waist. This is so much better for her, at least in a setting like this. Yes, she looks large and square-shouldered, but she also looks soft and sexy at the same time. She could’ve shown up in a mermaid gown and she might even have rocked it, but she looks so elegant, feminine and pretty here that we hope she keeps returning to this well.

And the hair pulled away from her face had a LOT to do with it too. That’s another lesson we hope she’s learned. Also a personal best on the makeup.
